Best Student Paper Award (US$500)

The Best Student Paper Award recognises authors of the best student papers accepted for publication in the proceedings of the 2018 International Conference on Web Intelligence. A paper is considered a student paper if the first-named author is a student at the time of the paper submission. Student authors enter the competition using the conference’s paper submission system when they upload their revised papers. Papers will be shortlisted based on reviewer scores. The Selection Panel will make a decision on the Award based on the reviewers’ comments and scores and the Panel's own reading of the papers. The recipient of the Award will receive a certificate commemorating her (his) achievement. The prize and certificate will be presented at the conference banquet.

Student Travel Awards (Two available with US$500 each)

This award provides the opportunity for student authors to attend and give an oral presentation at the WI 2018 conference. All postgraduate students who have submitted or are intending to submit an abstract for WI 2018 are invited to apply - especially those in the final year of their higher degree program. Applicants must:
